Technician Background
Many customers ask about my experience so here is a brief...

I’ve been repairing TVs (and other consumer type electronics) since 1995 but I started out with my first real electronics experience in 1985 serving in the USAF as an Avionics bench tech repairing Radar and ECM components in FB111As like this.

The people I served with were absolutely some of the best I have ever known and I am fortunate to have served with them.

Later I served in the USAFR as a Comm Nav specialist maintaining these.

During this time, I participated in Hurricane Hugo relief efforts and Desert Shield. I returned to the inactive reserve and was honorably discharged in 1993.

Went to local SCC in 1992 through 1993 studying Electronics and Computer Engineering while doing part time IT/networking for a Cherokee based company. Put college on pause for an IT specialist job maintaining around 250 of these  for a Greenville based engineering firm. Unfortunately, 90% of this was providing internal tech support instead of 'fixing stuff'. Spent the next year or so doing software development for a personal project. In 1995, moved into my current specialty repairing consumer electronics, primarily TVs, expecting it to be a  temporary job. After 5 years, I began subcontracting to an additional 2nd repair shop. My wife and I opened our own shop in 2001.
